As Garfinkle argues in this poignant essay, Charmed, like most other contemporary, fictional narratives, employs a non-transcendant concept of the fight of Good against Evil. True, certain demons, including the Source, may be vanquished. But, the battle between Good and Evil is eternal. Neither side gains an advantage.
