There is much to mock in this episode. Once again, Charmed has brought in all sorts of mythical/magical creatures in order to construct an essentially modular episode. Let's Happily Ever After (Episode 3, Season 5) introduced us to an evil witch, the big bad wolf and the seven dwarves. Lucky Charmed (Episode 17, Season 5) gave us leprechauns. Even a great episode such as Sam I Am (Episode 9, Season 5) had a magical applicant for nanny who just happened to be an elf. Now, we have nymphs and a satyr. The satyr is killed off almost immediately, while the scantily clad nymphs have plenty of frolick in them. That Paige joins in frivolity may appeal to those who miss Paige's wild child side. But, Rose herself has claimed that this was one of her least favorite episodes. Still, there is much to recommend in this episode.
The rivalry between Paige and Piper for leadership of the Charmed Ones has burst out into the open, as each snipes at the other and finds fault with their approach to demonic challenges. As Phoebe is under the spell of her new beau, Jason Dean, she is preoccupied with non-magical matters. Indeed, her principal role in this episode seems to be the walk of shame she undergoes as she tries to sneak past her sisters in the early morning hours.
The dialogue is not as witty as we have seen throughout Season 5. Leo does manage to get in a great line when he orbs baby Wyatt to the Elders. After substituting a red blanket inherited from his grandmother for the non-violent, powder blue one that Piper prefers, Leo compounds his error by tuning out the quite reflective Mozart music that Piper wants to bathe Wyatt's restful hours in. "It's your mother!" pretty much serves as a pointed commentary about Piper's over protectiveness.
