Paige is at her finest whether freezing in a snow cave, prognosticating earthquakes or standing statuesqually in the attic. Chris makes his first appearance in Charmed. He is instrumental in saving both Paige's life and those of many of many of the Elders. However, he remains a shadowy figure from the future. Is he really friend or foe?
Phoebe, of course, is at her most ridiculous, especially when portraying the goddess of love. If the togas were not bad enough, wasn't having Phoebe serviced by a loyal harem of men a bit over the top.
Piper is depicted as Mother Nature, but one mean mother, especially after she learns that Leo has become an Elder. It wasn't bad enough that Piper despises the Elders and heaps scorn upon them regularly, now her husband - with whom she has already been to see a marriage counselor - takes on a new job that will make him even less available to his wife. Hell hath no fury like Mother Nature scorned.
And, why all of the excitement? Well, an enterprising demon has unleashed the Titans from their ice prison in the hopes of enlisting them in his quest for ultimate power. The Titans realize immediately that they do not need a demon to help them with their goal of annihilating the Elders as revenge for the Elders banishing the Titans to the ice prison over 2,000 years ago. Demon destroyed, the Titans turn their attention to capturing and stealing whitelighter powers in order to penetrate the kingdom in the sky where the Elders dwell.
Paige figures this out and puts herself forth as bait to lure a Titan to the attic. Unfortunately, Paige underestimates the danger and is only saved from total annihilation and loss of her whitelighter powers by Chris who has come back in time to rescue not only Paige, but to save the last remaining Elders. Paige does become a statue for part of the time until the little people can return her a favor by finally freeing her from her frozen state as a statue.
