No wedding carefully planned can ever go according to plan for the Halliwell witches. And neither does this one. Outside forces are only partly to blame. The Elders don't get involved: why not? The Seer does, but only to warn Cole (the Source) that a white wedding cannot take place for it will undermine the evil spawn that the relationship between Cole and Phoebe is destined to produce. Cole, the groom, does his utmost to destroy his own wedding. Cleverly, he even manages to lay most of the blame at the feet of Paige. Yet, Cole and Phoebe still manage to get married, albeit in a dark ceremony at a wedding chapel in a mausoleum. That neither Leo nor Piper finds this the least bit problematic is a bit of a surprise. Leo certainly should know better. He at least should have consulted with the Elders before allowing this to occur. Piper was probably more relieved after the traumatic events of the past 48 hours. Another great episode of Charmed.
