A strong follow-up episode to Something Wicca, this show features several self-reflective moments as the sisters come to terms with their new selves. Piper is the most conflicted, as she distrusts Phoebe's reassurance that not all witches are bad and that the Charmed Ones are certainly not evil witches. Only when she dares to enter a Catholic church without being struck dead by lightning is Piper truly convinced that being a witch is not necessarily a bad thing. Whether it is a good thing remains to be seen.
Rex and Hannah, the first emissaries from the Source, set up shop as "heirs" to the Bucklands. After assuming control of the auction house, Rex Buckland hires Prue, even though Prue initially was loathe to accept such a position. She passes the test and gains employment at Bucklands Auction House. What she doesn't know is that the test she passed was not based on her merits as art procurer, but on her powers as a Charmed One.
Phoebe, of course, is more than happy to be a witch. She even tries her hand at the lottery by using her powers of premonition to ascertain in advance the winning lottery numbers. Phoebe even shares this information with a down on their luck elderly couple who rejoice when learning that they've won. Alas, witches, especially Charmed Ones, cannot gain monetarily from their abilities. Phoebe watches helplessly as the numbers on her winning lottery ticket disappear as the winning numbers are announced.
All of the above, of course, is background to the main plot which features the youthful Stephan, a renowned photographer, who really is the demon Javna, stealer of youth. He lures pretty young women to his studio only to steal their youth. When a friend of the Charmed Ones becomes a victim, Piper's concern for Phoebe's welfare increases exponentially when she learns that the photographer Phoebe willl pose for is none other than Stephan!
