Paige agonized greatly over how best to let Henry know about her secret. She knew there was no magical recipe. Phoebe, her older half-sister, had more experience. After all, she had been with Jason Dean, Leslie, Dex, Miles and untold others. Never had Phoebe been able to solve the conundrum presented by her need to protect her secret and the need to be open and honest with a potential mate. Paige had less experience since Glenn had found out by accident and was open to the possibilities. Richard already had magical powers. And, Agent Brody knew about the Charmed Ones' powers. Still, how would she reveal her secret to Henry?
Some have accused Phoebe of outright lying. Yet, lying is a bit strong. True, Phoebe did not reveal her secret life to Jason for a year. However, it remains unanswered how she would have told Jason, given his alpha male, business personality? No matter how Phoebe would have, could have or should have dealt with her deception, Jason would have reacted in exactly the same way he did act when the truth was revealed finally. He couldn't handle it! Phoebe's deception only made matters worse.
Henry, on the other hand, was receptive to the possiblity of Paige being "special", even if he didn't understand what the nature of her specialness was. When Paige mustered the courage to out herself, Henry reacted as any open-minded and caring person might have. He had empathy and even found it attractive, even though there was a bit of peril associated with Paige's witchy/whitelighter essence.
