At the beginning of Season 7, the grandfather clock was securely located at the foot of the staircase. Diagonal right from the staircase, the grandfather clock was against a wall running perpendicular to the foyer. Looking outward, the grandfather clock was located to the left.
Given the sometimes strange architecture to the manor, it is worth inquiring whether the grandfather clock changed location. Recall during Season 1, visible during the opening credits, was a mysterious partition that appeared behind Prue who was standing in the doorway about to flick it shut.

During Season 1, "Fourth Sister" the beige colored clock can be seen standing in the living room. In this particular scene, the clock can be seen behind Leo's shoulder, as he and Andy stand in the living room. Aviva is about to cause the popcorn Andy is holding to pop up and explode. She will also turn the VHS movie case for Body Heat into molten plastic to show her spite towards Prue who has demanded that Aviva leave the manor!

Alas, in Deja Vu the traditional grandfather clock has made its appearance at the foot of the staircase. It is a dark wood clock in contrast to the light wood clock in Fourth Sister. Its location has changed, unless it is a second grandfather clock in the manor. The second season of Charmed began with the dark clock in its place at the foot of the stairs. Catch a peak of it in Witch Trial.
Season 4: Charmed Again Part 2
It's still in the same location and somehow avoids being shattered by Phoebe or the Source. (The cabinet, alas, gets smacked and destroyed again as Phoebe misses the Source!).

In Season 8's Rewitched, we see the Grandfather Clock still at the foot of the staircase. It escapes undamaged during Billie's vanquish of the impfmaster, and the Charmed Ones' vanquish of Antosis.
