Paige at her most vulnerable, serious and philosophical: Sitting with her father after the failed vanquish of Cole, Paige allays her birth father's concern about her new life as a Charmed One. Paige replies: "I choose to be a witch. I could have walked away. But I didn't. And now, I'm a whitelighter to boot!" From Sam I Am: Season 5, Episode 9 But, for a long time, Paige sought to deny her whitelighter half. In Season 5's Siren Song, Paige proclaims: "I am a witch, not a whitelighter!" As Paige is overwhelmed by the necessity to protect Melissa, Leo's charge, we witness this dialogue: Paige: Well, I told you I wasn't any good at this whitelighter thing.
Leo: But, it's in you. It's half of who you are.
Paige: Obviously, the latent half.
Piper: No, Paige. It's the half that made you become a social worker in the first place. But it's like when you quit your job, you quit half of your personality.
Paige: My job is being a full-time witch and I intend to be good about it and I don't think there's a problem with me concentrating on magic.Ever the introspective one, Paige offered us this tidbit in Brain Drain: "In the abstract, yeah. But, I have enough trouble being in my own head, let alone someone else's."

Paige at her most inquisitive can be gleaned from several memorable quotes from Season 5's opening episode: A Witch's Tail Part 1. Since many of these quotes place Paige in the role as the only sane witch in the Manor, enjoy them for what they are worth: treasured gems from Charmed One Paige, the best ever! "Forget that. What's life like under the sea? Does your skin get wrinkly? Does algae pose a personal hygiene problem?" "Who are you people? And, what have you done with my sisters? Let's start with you (to Phoebe)? What's going on in that head of yours?" "What is going on with everybody? We're talking about the sea hag, mysterious monster of the deep blue sea, the one whose name strikes fear in the hearts of sailors everywhere!" "You're probably right. But she's an interesting evil specimen. It reminds me of this water demon that I read about in the Book. She kills in the most fascinating way." From the Last Temptation of Christy, Paige wondered: "Is there some sort of magical Enquirer I haven't heard of?"

Paige could also exhitit emotions that were downright depressing as this quote from Season 7's Something Wiccan That Way Goes demonstrates: "Well, I don't think we're getting out of this one, girls." Or, after appearing like a bolt out of the blue, glamoured as Janice Dickinson, in Season 8's Still Charmed and Kicking: "Well, somebody had to show up at my funeral!"

Paige could also demonstrate the most amazing use of one single word to convey an entire complexity of thoughts and emotions via repetition. From Forever Charmed, here's this snippet of dialogue: Paige Matthews: Hey! What are you doing here? Henry Mitchell: What am I doing here? I'm looking for my wife. She didn't come home last night. Are you okay? Paige Matthews: Yes, I'm okay. Of course I'm okay. I mean, we weren't okay, okay. But now we're okay. And I think in the future we're gonna be ... I think we're going to be more than okay! Henry Mitchell: Okay...In case you missed it, here it is again! OKAY!?! Yes, I'm okay. Of course I'm okay. I mean, we weren't okay, okay. But now we're okay. And I think in the future we're gonna be ... I think we're going to be more than okay! From Extreme Makeover: World Edition, Paige puts the world "know" on a whole different plane. After paranoia has infected the sisters and just be the cartouche is touched and the incantation chanted, Paige queries the Avatars: "Is there something we should know we don't know, you know?"
Priceless, Paige, simply priceless!

On love and relationships, Paige surprisingly had lots to say: In Season 8's Rewitched, after Piper has shanghaied Paige into playing the role of woman in need of (speed) dating and Phoebe has announced that she was dashing off to have sex with Dex, Paige sadly mused: "Is this what we've been reduced to: loveless sex, pimping?" In rejecting Simon Marks's marriage proposal (Season 8's Last Temptation of Christy), Paige shuddered and proclaimed: "We are not now, nor will we ever be a couple!" Before that outburst, she dismissed his suggestion that the Warren and Marks line of witches be combined with this pointed barb: "We're not going to be bringing our lines or bringing anything together for that matter." "But why not?" queried Simon Marks. "Because I don't want to. And because I have a boyfriend." Again, from Rewitched, Okay, there are not going to be any cute guys there because they're all desperate and that is why they are speed dating." From A Witch's Tail Part 1, Paige advises Miley the Mermaid: "You may be half-fish, but you're still a woman. And women, you know, they generally know when a man's in love even before he does." And: If your boyfriend's love can make you human, why don't you just tell him?"

As Paige acclimated herself more to life with half-sisters and life as a Charmed One, she became more expressive towards her sisters. With regards to Phoebe, Paige had lots to say: From Death Becomes Them, Paige practiced psychology on Phoebe: "Okay, I may not have studied psychology, but I have studied you. And this is class Phoebe. You're running away from your pain. Honey, you cannot run away from this." From The Last Temptation of Christy, Paige finally had enough of Phoebe's lack of support with respect to the persistent pest Simon Marks. Among many offerings, this one stands out: "Oh look at you. You sound like Sir Sofullofhimself." But, Paige was never one to rush headlong into a spat with her sisters. As she noted in "Payback's a Witch": "And, besides, I'm not going to go up against Piper - not today on Wyatt's birthday!"

Every witch has to be ready to face whatever lies ahead. As a whitelighter-witch, Paige has a double burden and a seemingly endless wellspring of optimism to feed off of. In Sam I Am, she gave us just a taste of her positive approach to life's challenges: "Okay, enough, negative Nancy! You just scurry back to your tidying. I don't want anyone to rain on my whitelighter parade."

Occasionally, Paige compared herself to her sisters. Sometimes she was the odd; at other times, it was they who were a bit strange. Whenever she did, however, you can rest assured that Paige always had an interesting way of phrasing her comment. In this memorable, one line phrase, Paige openly wondered how she end up the only sane person in the manor. As she put it: How did I end up being the only sane one here?

Paige had lots of thoughts about Cole. Initially very skeptical about Cole, Paige recognized that sometimes she mis-read him completely or was quite wrong about Phoebe and Cole. In a Witch's Tail Part 2, Paige lambastes Cole with a seering swipe. "You didn't mean to do a lot of things, but they happened. You're a one man death squad. Bodies, blood and pain follow you wherever you go." From a Witch's Tail Part 1, Paige offered up this assessment of the relationship between Cole and Phoebe after Phoebe turned into a mermaid. "That's, actually, the most fun I've seen Phoebe have since Cole died." From the eponymous episode from the quote, Bite Me, here's Paige's take on Cole, albeit one controlled by the Source. You know what, Cole. Just bite me!

Sometimes, Paige reflected on the sisters as they related to the rest of the world. From Season 8's Rewitched come these two charming quotes: "Everyone's going to freak out because technically we're still dead. Exactly how are we going to explain this?" In response to Piper's query about how life will be after they come back from the dead, Paige noted: "Don't count on it. We're not that lucky. We're back and better than ever."

Towards Billie, Paige had lots of words of wisdom. From "Payback's a Witch"Paige makes this "threat" after Billie suggests that LOVE (for Henry) was the key to Paige's magical healing of Henry: "Don't make me sorry that I saved you!" From "Payback's a Witch" Billie: I cannot believe this is happening.
Paige: Yeah, well it wouldn't be happening to you if you weren't so obsessed.
Billie: Do you want me to call for his guns?
Paige: No! No, you can't use magic. There are cameras everywhere. We can't risk exposure. On ensuring success with respect to potions (also from Payback's a Witch): Paige: How's it coming?
Billie: I don't even know if this is going to work.
Paige: Then concentrate! Because it has to.

Paige at her most practical: "Do you have any idea how much this would cost in a salon?" From A Witch's Tail Part 1 in response to Leo's comment about her hair turning red after a potion blew up on her.

Paige at her most introspective: "I'm not on drugs. I'm just having a bad trip. From Season 6's "Witchstock" You're darn right I'm obsessed. I'm too young to be old.

Paige could also express quite vividly her deep sense of moral outrage when confronted with depravity. From I Dream of Phoebe, as she learns that Chris has wished his parents to sleep together, Paige vents as follows: You! Oh my god! You're sick! What is wrong with you? You're disgusting! You are some creepy registered sex offender from the future. Oh my god! You're so gross! What? The final comment/question, of course, shows Paige at her best Rosannadanna imitation when she learns that Chris is not a registered sex offender from the future, but the son of Piper and Leo. Whatever!

Paige was also torn by her dual nature: witch versus whitelighter. Sometimes, being a whitelighter was a pain. From, Malice in Wonderland, we have this bit of dialogue.
Paige: Leo, the jingling is back! Can you help me get rid of it?
Leo: Just ignore it.
Piper: It's his advice for the day.
Paige: I can't ignore it. It's relentless. What does that little witch want anyway?
