Inspector Sheridan has been missing in action for weeks, and Darryl can find no record of her. Though worried about getting too entangled with the Charmed Ones, Darryl asks Phoebe for her help in locating Sheridan. Darryl has managed to locate a pen which might be enough to allow Phoebe to scry for Inspector Sheridan's location. In the meantime, Kira the Seer is rescued from demon attack by Leo, now revealed as an Avatar. She possesses vital information about the future the Avatars have to offer. But, her price is steep. Tired of living the life of a demon, Kira wishes to become human. Only the Elders can provide the spell to make her one. Will they (the Elders) be willing to trade information about the Avatars for such a wonderful benefit to Kira, especially if they cannot determine the veracity of the information?
During Kira's refuge in the attic, she and Phoebe bond. True, Phoebe is drawn towards Kira because she wishes to get a premonition that might suggest something about the Avatars. But, there is more that binds the two than the utilitarian aspect just described. As magical entities with the power of precognition, there is a commonality of purpose (to a limited extent) and of experience (as entities who have had premonitions). Phoebe also seems to relate to Kira as a person as well. Together she and Kira will locate Inspector Sheridan in the company of
